A brass umbrella holder. This freestanding holder features an ornamental horseshoe handle that is affixed to five conjoined loops to hold umbrellas. This is attached to a columned pole that is footed by a base moulded to resemble an upturned umbrella.
Our figural brass snake umbrella holder dates to about 1920, possibly earlier. This Arts and Crafts treasure is crafted with a coiled design that includes a head and tail with the hammered tray in place. The snake stands an impressive 32'' tall x 12'' high at the top. It has been polished at some point in time and has remnants of old polish on the undersides.
